Lily McGriffin and the Lost City of Atlantis

Once upon a time, there was a space-time traveler named Lily McGriffin who liked to travel through space and time just like her brother Harvey Rumplemeyer. Well, Lily had gotten bored with things that were going on around our universe and in our time so she decided to go back in time to visit some of the ancient lands that we've never heard of. One of those lands was the Lost City of Atlantis. Well, of course a lot of us have heard of the Lost City of Atlantis, but to us it's just a myth and fable.
In Her GPS!?
Lily however, believed that the Lost City of Atlantis was real so she decided to go back in time until she found it. And that's just what she did. She went back to 200 BC and no, it wasn't there. So then she went back to 300 BC and no, it wasn't there either. So she kept going back in time over and over and over again until there it was! There was this great big island right out in the middle of the sea! Well, I can't tell you what year it was because Lily swore me to secrecy, but I can tell you that it turned out it was in her GPS system after all!
Nonno in a deep voice: "Guidestar, how may I help you?"
Nonno pretending to be Lily McGriffin: "Yes, I'd like turn by turn directions to the Lost City of Atlantis please."
Nonno in a deep voice: "Certainly madam. Just head to the first star on the left and straight on 'til morning, Atlantis will be on your right!"
Nonno pretending to be Lily McGriffin: "Ok, thank you!"
Exploring the City
Well, after Lilly arrived in the lost city of Atlantis, she got out to see what she could see. She found parks with nice playgrounds for the kids to play on. She found outdoor ice skating rinks for people to go ice skating in. She found a harbor with great big sailing ships that went around the world over and over and over again and she even found a place to go horseback riding. Lily loved to go horseback riding so that's just what she did! She took off her space time suit and left it in her Space-Time Machine, chose a costume suitable for that time period so she could blend in, set her Space-Time Machine's Blend-In-Orometer so her Space-Time Machine looked like all the other buildings in the area, and then went to the stables to rent a horse.
They had many horses to choose from. They had big courses for short people. They had small horses for tall people. They had white horses, and brown horses, and green horses, and blue horses, and red horses too. They even had a horse with a horn right in the middle of her head. Lily had never seen one of those before….Well, Lily chose a brown horse with blue wings and purple gills and went for a ride. She rode all over the lost city of Atlantis meeting people, playing with children, and stopping to try the food at the different restaurants around the island.
Eventually however, she grew tired and decided to go back to her Space-Time Machine. So she turned the horse toward the stables, thanked the stable hands for their kindness, gave the horse an apple, and went back to her Space-Time Machine. And that's when things got exciting!
Lily Decides to Help
For as Lily was about to cross the street to go back to her Space-Time Machine, someone from behind heor grabbed her and pulled her back onto the sidewalk just in the nick of time! Whiz! Whiz! Whiz again! Three cars went zooming past her and everybody else standing on the sidewalk waiting for the traffic light to change. The first car had three burglars in it and they were firing guns back at the cars behind them. The other two2 cars were police cars and they were chasing the burgers because they had just robbed a bank. "Well," thought Lily to herself, "that's really mean of them." So she decided to give the police a hand.
Lily raced across the street and ducked into her Space-Time Machine and set the controls to catch up with the burglars and the police cars. She was going to show those burgers a thing or two yes siree Bob! As she caught up to the speeding cars, she realized that everybody could see her and it was scaring the children. So, she reached for the Invisibility Control button. But just then she hit an air pocket and it jounced around her pretty bad! And instead of pressing the Invisibility Control button, she jabbed the Blow Them Up To Smithereens button! Fortunately for Lily, the Space-Time Machine knew that the Blow Them Up To Smithereens button was only for meteors and comets and other inanimate objects that posed a threat to the Space-Time Machine and Lily's safety. So instead of incinerating the burglars' car, it spit gum balls at them! Gum balls went everywhere! But unfortunately, gum balls tend to bounce off of cars and people in the streets and anything else they happen to hit and that's just what happened here too. By the time the Space-Time Machine had finished shooting gum balls at every thing, the burgers had been caught. But that wasn't all! All the houses in the area had broken windows and doors and roofs. All because Lily made a boo-boo.
And because Lily was invisible all the people thought it was the hand of the gods bringing punishment upon the burglars, the police, and all the people in the area. Lily thought it was best to go home and never ever ever go back to the Lost City of Atlantis. And she never did.
